Reported Haunting
The Old Opera House is associated with reports of paranormal activity experienced by performers and visitors. Witnesses have described phantom footsteps, mysterious voices, shadow figures, and unexplained sounds coming from the stage after performances. The historic theater has earned a local haunted reputation.
Now a museum, with an antique shop as well, the Old Opera House in Arcadia has a number of weird goings-on. One worker tells of hearing the distinctive noise of a crowd in the old auditorium, but of course when she went to investigate, there was no one there. The sounds of children’s laughter and footsteps are heard, and the figure of a young girl has been seen in a second floor corner window.
