This historic building was formerly a church, and during the civil war, a cavalry was met by resistance from an old man with a shotgun inside the building, adding some additional history to the hall. However, it is not his spirit who is known to haunt the building, as visitors and staff claim that the hall is haunted by a female spectre known as ‘Nellie’. She has been known to move chairs around the auditorium, clean the building during the night and has even been seen in photographs taken by visitors.
