THE STORY

Reported Haunting

The historic Canfield-Moreno Estate is associated with the spirit of Daisy Canfield Moreno and reports of voices, slamming doors, running water, cold areas and an oppressive presence.

Originally known as Crestmount and later the Canfield-Moreno Estate, the mansion was built for oil heiress Daisy Canfield Moreno and silent-film actor Antonio Moreno. Daisy died after an automobile plunged from Mulholland Drive in 1933, and later legend associated her spirit with the estate. Modern paranormal accounts received unusual publicity after members of My Chemical Romance and Papa Roach stayed at the property while recording albums and described slamming doors, unexplained voices, water running by itself, disturbing sensations and other strange occurrences. The property is now known as the Paramour Estate.
