Pennhurst State School and Hospital housed thousands of residents before closing amid allegations of abuse and neglect. Visitors have reported shadow figures, phantom footsteps, mysterious voices, moving objects, and intense paranormal activity throughout the abandoned institution. It is widely regarded as one of Pennsylvania's most haunted locations.
