Pickfair Mansion, once home to Hollywood legends Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks, has long been linked to ghost stories. Witnesses have reported apparitions, mysterious footsteps, unexplained voices, and eerie sensations throughout the estate. The mansion remains one of Beverly Hills' most famous haunted residences.
Pickfair Mansion was an early-1900s 56-acre estate remodeled by silent film actors Mary PICKford and Douglas FAIRbanks. The home was demolished in 1990. Rumor has it that the mansion was haunted, some say by the ghost of Douglas Fairbanks. On an episode of TV’s Celebrity Ghost Stories, Pia Zadora said the real reason she demolished Pickfair was that it was haunted by a laughing ghost, that of a woman who died in the mansion while having an affair with Douglas Fairbanks.
