Originally built as a hotel in the 1860s, the Pioneer Inn has accumulated more than a century of ghost stories. Visitors have reported apparitions, phantom footsteps, and unexplained activity believed to be connected to the building's long history.
This building was a hotel from the 1860s to the 1990s, when it was turned into offices for a church. As of 2013, it was sold to the city of Clayton. Here the ghosts may be seen carrying objects around, and visitors have been touched by the spirits on their hands or shoulders.
