A woman who died after falling down a staircase and a doctor who suffocated in a chimney are among several apparitions reportedly seen here.
Plas Mawr is associated with the tragic story of a pregnant woman who reportedly fell down a staircase and later died from her injuries. Her attending doctor, Charles, is said to have attempted to flee before her husband returned but became trapped in a chimney and suffocated. Both are among the property's most frequently reported spirits. A man and woman dressed in period clothing have also reportedly been seen on the second floor.
