Reported Haunting
The Plum Tree Inn is associated with reports of ghostly apparitions connected to old Chinatown Los Angeles. Employees have described phantom footsteps, mysterious voices, shadow figures, and unexplained cold spots within the historic building. It remains part of the city's haunted folklore.
One former owner was murdered here Halloween night of 1974 and another victim was forced to dig his own grave. Some believe that the property itself is cursed and others have reported seeing one of the former employees here long after his death.
