THE STORY

Reported Haunting

Employees at the Polynesian Cultural Center have reported unexplained activity after the park closes, including mysterious figures and unusual sounds in otherwise empty areas. Some accounts describe apparitions in traditional clothing that disappear when approached.

The park is broken up into sections based on traditional island countries of the Pacific Ocean. In the Fiji Village, people have heard the sound of tribal drums being played when no one is around. In the Marquesas Island village, people have seen and heard the ghost of a little boy, who roams the village crying and screaming. In various lagoons around the complex, people have reported seeing the apparition of a woman in white floating face down in the water. She vanishes when approached.
