Near Pounders Beach are the remains of a foundation associated with a house long rumored to have been haunted. Local stories describe unexplained activity and ghostly encounters around the former homesite, although the identity of the spirit said to linger there remains uncertain.
Here lies an old foundation of a former house, believed to have been haunted. Local tales tell of a housewife who once drowned here while trying to save her child. Her spirit is said to still search for her child, who can be heard crying or pitter-pattering along the ground. Popular ghost legend says that if a visitor resembles the child who died, the mother ghost may try to take them to replace her lost child.
