Reported Haunting
Power County Hospital is associated with reports of paranormal activity believed to be connected to former patients and staff. Witnesses have described apparitions, unexplained footsteps, mysterious voices, and shadow figures moving through the old hospital. The building has become one of southeastern Idaho's better-known haunted sites.
At this hospital and nursing home, nurse buzzers are said to go off by themselves in the rooms of patients who are physically unable to get to the buzzer. A ghostly doctor who smells of cigar smoke has been spotted, and elderly residents who have passed away also visit at times. The apparition of a tall man is said to stand near the entryway and survey the room.
