This museum and society was formed to preserve the firefighting heritage of the town, and appears to have preserved some ghostly inhabitants of an otherworldly kind. Many old-fashioned vehicles have been known to drive off by themselves, and staff and visitors claim to have heard the sound of disused vehicles moving through the museum at night. Others claim to have seen a shadowy apparition sitting in a fire truck near the museum entrance.
