THE STORY
Reported Haunting
Rí Rá Irish Pub in Uptown Charlotte has accumulated numerous ghost stories from patrons and employees. Witnesses have described men dressed in period clothing appearing at the bar before mysteriously disappearing, while a young girl is associated with unexplained chalk writing and recitations of the alphabet near the host stand. Employees have also reported objects moving or appearing unexpectedly inside the locked building and shadowy figures in otherwise empty areas.
The historic Uptown building occupied by Rí Rá Irish Pub has a well-established local paranormal reputation. Reports include apparitions of period-dressed men who seemingly vanish, the spirit of a young girl, unexplained chalk writing, shadow figures and objects moving without an obvious cause. One employee account describes a brick inexplicably appearing inside the secured pub overnight despite surveillance footage showing no one entering the building.
