The building that once housed the Rogers Hotel is now reported to be an office building, but it has a haunted history. According to reports, a live-in maintenance man got the fright of his life when a stranger in period clothing knocked at his door while the hotel was still under renovation. He asked the maintenance man to follow him to the basement pool area, where he warned him about an evil presence there and then disappeared. Other visitors and staff members noted apparitions, voices and footsteps on the fourth floor. The son of a manager around the turn of the 20th century is said to have hanged himself in the elevator shaft.
