The historic Roosevelt Mansion (Springwood estate) in Hyde Park, New York, is rumored to be haunted by lingering spiritual energy from the President's family. Visitors and tour groups frequently report experiencing unexplained, sudden drops in temperature and a heavy feeling of deep sadness inside the formal dining room. Similar eerie anomalies and cold spots have also been documented manifesting within Eleanor Roosevelt's bedroom.
Roosevelt Mansion was the home of Franklin D. Roosevelt, 32nd U.S. president. It is a National Historic Site, designated as such in 1945. Witnesses say the haunting here is manifested by coldness and a sad feeling in the dining room and in Mrs. Roosevelt’s bedroom.
