Employees in the historic Ryder Building have reported sounds resembling chairs or furniture being moved on the upper floor when nobody is believed to be there.
The Ryder Building on East Broadway is a historic commercial building in downtown Alton and is associated today with My Just Desserts. Employees and visitors have reported unexplained sounds from the upper portions of the building, including noises resembling chairs or furniture being dragged or rearranged when no visible person is responsible. The property has also appeared on local haunted-history and paranormal tours.
