Ryecroft Hall has an unusually varied ghost tradition, including apparitions of children, nurses, soldiers and other figures as well as moving objects, cold spots and unexplained sounds.
Grade II listed Ryecroft Hall in Audenshaw has been the subject of numerous ghost investigations and local paranormal accounts. Reported figures include nurses associated with the building's wartime history, children in period clothing, soldiers and other human apparitions. Visitors and investigators have additionally described objects moving without explanation, strange voices and sounds, sudden temperature changes and fleeting figures on the staircase and in other rooms. The number and variety of recurring reports make Ryecroft Hall one of the stronger Greater Manchester entries in this group.
