THE STORY

Reported Haunting

The historic Saddle Peak Lodge has been associated with reports of paranormal activity from guests and employees. Witnesses have described apparitions, unexplained footsteps, and other strange occurrences within the rustic building, suggesting that some former patrons or occupants may still linger there.

The Rat Pack used to commonly stay here, but it is believed this place also ties to the afterlife. A female presence in her 40’s named Edith is said to be upstairs and likes to move objects around. Around the same area, a rather tough and burly figure roams around and is said to be rather standoffish at first; he is believed to be a great poker player who also had a drinking problem, and usually he is blamed whenever bottles of alcohol move around. On the first floor, a woman in white is reported near the bar, but not much is known about her. A young man named James (or Jim) Brodie was said to have been killed in a robbery, but stays at this area; he is rather playful and often touches people in order to get their attention. A friendly young girl named Clara or Claire drowned around here a while ago, but loves the area (and is said to be very afraid of the poker player). There is a portal inside of the restroom mirrors and a not so friendly female is said to be trapped inside of it. Other unidentified energy is picked up around here and many EVPs can be taken as well.
