For generations, witnesses have reported mysterious glowing lights hovering over Wyoming's Salt Creek Oil Field. The unexplained lights have become one of the state's best-known ghost light legends, inspiring both folklore and paranormal investigations.
On cool, clear nights, a light may be seen hovering above the oil field. Locals assert that it is the spirit of O’Rourke, an Irishman who once farmed the area. It is his ghostly lantern that emits the mysterious glow.
