Sara Jane's Cottage at The Ranch at Rock Creek in Philipsburg, Montana, is the subject of playful local ghost lore regarding a floating, bonnet-wearing head. Guests staying in the luxury cabin have reported an eerie, hyper-alert sensation at night, flinching at standard building creaks and imagining the spectral figure appearing in doorways. The lore is fueled by the walls being covered in historic frontier photography, though the cabin is actually named in honor of a real, enterprising 1940s ranch manager.
This cabin at the ranch was really unique. I got many EVPs, one of which said follow and shadow. I also heard a loud bang on the cabin.
