SCAD's Oglethorpe House is associated with reports of a transparent young-girl apparition, unexplained screams, scraping noises, rolling-marble sounds, and other disturbances concentrated around several dorm rooms.
Oglethorpe House is a Savannah College of Art and Design residence hall on West Oglethorpe Avenue. Paranormal stories associated with the dorm include sightings of a transparent young girl identified in local lore as Gracie Watkins, who is also associated with Bonaventure Cemetery. GeorgiaHauntedHouses also records a story that a female student died by suicide near rooms 600 and 601, after which residents reported unexplained screams and other disturbances in that area. Room 416 has been associated with sounds resembling a stool scraping across the floor and a marble dropping and rolling. Former residents have also described hearing what they called a falling scream near rooms 600 and 601. These accounts are paranormal lore and eyewitness reports rather than independently established historical events.
