The Scriba Intersection is associated with legends of ghostly apparitions and unexplained lights seen by passing motorists. Witnesses have reported shadow figures, mysterious voices, and eerie encounters near the crossroads after dark. It has become one of Oswego County's better-known haunted locations.
The deadly Scriba Intersection at Route 104 and Klocks Corners has been the unfortunate scene of many a car crash, a two-way stop obscured by a large hill. Locals say that the park near the intersection is a gathering place for the spirits of those who have lost their lives here. Their apparitions are said to show up in shades of gray and look up and down the roads as if dreading another accident.
