Shades of Death Road is one of New Jersey's most notorious haunted highways, surrounded by legends of murders, highwaymen, lynchings, and deadly accidents. Visitors have reported apparitions, unexplained fog, cold spots, and mysterious lights around Ghost Lake and nearby Lenape Lane.
