The former Shilo Inn property on SW Canyon Road—now operating as the Best Western Portland West Beaverton—is legendary for paranormal activity localized in its upstairs sports den and Canyon Room. Guests and staff members frequently report hearing heavy, disembodied footsteps pacing across the floors and the distinct sound of a man and a woman holding a conversation in empty spaces. Additionally, minor poltergeist activity plagues the venue, with multiple witnesses documenting cups, chairs, and other small items moving entirely on their own
The areas said to be haunted here are the upstairs sports den and the Canyon Room. Folks have reported hearing disembodied footsteps and a conversation between a man and women. In addition, things such as cups and furniture have been known to move around on their own.
