THE STORY

Reported Haunting

Legend states that the Pascagoula River was the site of a mass suicide by the Pascagoula Indian tribe.

Legend states that the Pascagoula River was the site of a mass suicide by the Pascagoula Indian tribe. Facing enslavement and slaughter from a pending battle against a superior force, they chose suicide en masse rather than facing defeat. As the marched into the water, they sang a death song and that is the music that the river continues to repeat to this day.
