Sioux Villa, the historic home of Mahlon and Caroline Gore, is associated with reports of unexplained activity attributed to former occupants of the property. Visitors have described mysterious footsteps, unusual sounds, and the sensation of unseen presences moving through the old residence.
Sioux Villa was the home of Mahlon and Caroline Gore. Mahlon was an early mayor of Orlando. They built the home in 1906 on the shore of Lake Lucerne, but it was later moved to its current location on Waverly Place, just off Orange Avenue. Modern-day occupants have reported hearing unexplained noises and even seeing ghostly figures at the old writing desk in the attic.
