Reported Haunting
The former Wilton Manors City Hall developed a reputation for unexplained activity before the building was demolished. Employees reportedly experienced strange noises, unexplained movement, and other disturbances that led to local stories that the municipal building was haunted.
Local legend tells of strange happenings at the former City Hall building, built in 1957. Cold spots, a heavy atmosphere, and unexplained soft music are said to be the work of a ghostly maintenance man named John Bold. Bold loved his work, and it seems that he stayed on–even after his final shift. His apparition has been seen by another worker who knew Bold when he was alive. The building was demolished in 2010 and the site is now a parking lot.
