THE STORY
Reported Haunting
The Skatin' Place roller rink in St. Cloud, Minnesota, is famously rumored to be haunted by the spirit of a young boy named Gilbert who tragically drowned on the property long before it was built. Rink management acknowledges the popular local legend and has even displayed a sign inside the facility detailing his backstory. Late-night workers frequently report spooky poltergeist activity, including arcade games and lights turning on by themselves after closing. Other common claims involve the sound of heavy footsteps pacing across the roof and skaters spotting a phantom face peering out from the air vents.
HauntedPlaces.org lists Skatin' Place as a reportedly haunted location.
