Reported Haunting
The historic Slocum House has been linked to reports of footsteps, voices, and objects moving without explanation. Local tradition connects the activity to an old property dispute and the spirits of people associated with the house and its former neighborhood.
Dating back to 1867, the historic mansion is haunted by the wife of the original owner. Known as ‘Laura’, the spirit often appears to children, and is regarded as a motherly presence.
