THE STORY

Reported Haunting

The SS Great Britain, a historic museum ship permanently dry-docked in Bristol, England, is widely considered one of the region's most haunted locations due to its long, tragic history at sea. The vessel's most legendary ghost is Captain John Gray, who mysteriously vanished overboard in 1872 and whose heavy hobnail boots are still heard scratching across the wooden decks. Other frequently documented spectral inhabitants include Mrs. Cohen, a young bride who died on board just weeks after her wedding, and a phantom sailor seen lingering near the rigging where he fell to his death.

Former captain, John Gray is heard dragging his boots around the deck, going up and down the stairs. A Victorian woman has also been sensed on deck and sometimes, the energy on here has made people sick to their stomachs.
