THE STORY
Reported Haunting
St. Clair Memorial Hall in Greenville, Ohio, is a historic 1910 theater famously rumored to host a couple of distinct spirits. Local folklore describes an elegantly dressed woman, frequently identified as the original benefactor’s wife, Ella St. Clair, who silently watches rehearsals from her lone seat in the balcony. The building’s other resident is said to be the less-refined ghost of a maintenance worker who tragically fell to his death while changing a lightbulb. Staff and visitors on Darke County ghost walks report that his lingering spirit continues to wander the facility and haunt the dark tunnels running directly beneath the main hall.
