St. James Presbyterian Church has been associated with reports of unexplained activity within the historic building. Visitors and congregation members have described mysterious sounds and other unusual occurrences suggesting the presence of an unidentified spirit.
St. James Presbyterian Church is said to be haunted, as evidenced by footsteps heard walking up the stairs and doors that shut by themselves and are sometimes impossible to open again. The same doors will be found open later.
