THE STORY

Reported Haunting

St James Garlickhythe became the center of an unusual mystery after a naturally mummified teenage boy was discovered in the church vaults during the 19th century. Known as "Jimmy Garlick," the preserved body became part of local folklore, while the church has also been associated with reports of unexplained activity and ghostly encounters.

A mummified teenaged boy was discovered here in 1839. He is nicknamed ‘Jimmy Garlick’ and may be responsible for the objects that move themselves and the strange noises.
