Stanley Palace is said to be haunted by the spirit of a woman named Elizabeth, whose apparition reportedly appears dressed in old-fashioned clothing. Visitors have also described unexplained footsteps and other unusual activity within the centuries-old timber-framed building.
The ghost of a woman named Elizabeth is said to manifest in old-fashion clothes. Other spirits include a man dressed in a World War II uniform, a lady with grey hair who is usually found around the piano, and a little girl who is thought to have died on the staircase. People can be heard singing, laughing, and shutting doors despite no one else being around.
