State Hospital South served psychiatric patients in southeastern Idaho for decades and is associated with numerous reports of paranormal activity. Visitors have reported shadow figures, mysterious voices, phantom footsteps, and unsettling encounters throughout the historic buildings. Its institutional history has made it one of Idaho's best-known haunted locations.
