THE STORY
Reported Haunting
The former Stockport Workhouse, which later served as a hospital, has been associated with reports of paranormal activity linked to its institutional past. Visitors and staff have described apparitions, unexplained footsteps, voices, and other disturbances attributed to former patients and residents.
Now permanently closed, this building once used to be a hospital. One ghost that has shown up in photograph is that of a doctor with a mask over his face. Many other ghosts are reported including a woman who was either a nurse or a nun, and some darker energy yet to be identified.
