THE STORY
Reported Haunting
This beautifully restored Queen Anne home is said to be haunted by former residents whose footsteps, voices, shadow figures, and unexplained activity continue to be reported by visitors and volunteers.
Built in 1893 for Strange Nathanial Cragun, this Queen Anne-style residence now serves as the Boone County Historical Society. Staff and visitors have reported disembodied footsteps echoing through empty rooms, doors opening and closing on their own, unexplained voices, cold spots, shadowy figures, and objects moving without explanation. Paranormal investigators have also reported unusual electronic voice phenomena (EVPs), making the historic home one of Lebanon's best-known haunted landmarks.
