Reported Haunting
The Sugar Hill Inn is associated with reports of ghostly apparitions believed to be former guests. Visitors have described mysterious footsteps, voices, doors opening on their own, and shadow figures throughout the historic inn. It has earned a reputation as one of New Hampshire's haunted inns.
At the historic Sugar Hill Inn, guests have been surprised to see an elderly couple enter the inn and float right through a set of closed doors. The shadow of a man also appears near where Mr. Oakes, a former owner, passed away.
