THE STORY
Reported Haunting
The Old Arnold Estate, better known today as The Conjuring House, is a historic farmhouse in Harrisville, Rhode Island, associated with one of America's most famous modern haunting cases. After Roger and Carolyn Perron moved into the house with their five daughters in 1971, the family reported disappearing objects, unexplained footsteps, opening doors, shadowy figures, apparitions, and other disturbing activity. Paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren later became involved, including a controversial séance at the property. The Perron family's experiences eventually inspired the 2013 film The Conjuring, although many details of the popular legend remain disputed and the film greatly dramatized the events.
Ghost Atlas has a published record for this location, but a full narrative has not yet been added.
