Reported Haunting
The Frida Cinema has been associated with reports of paranormal activity, particularly around Theater 2. Volunteers and visitors have described unexplained noises, shadowy figures, and other strange occurrences inside the auditorium, often during quieter nighttime hours.
I used to volunteer here and all of the experience I had involved theater 2, on the right. Even when the lights are on, the room feels unpleasant and you get the sensation that you’re being watched or followed. Occasionally, I’d peripherally see a shadow walk into the theater, or see movement inside even if the room was empty. Other volunteers and employees have reported a similar feeling of not being alone in there. Before it was an art theater, it was a Spanish-language theater for major movies, but one guest died of a stroke during a showing. The general thought is that he’s the one still there.
