THE STORY

Reported Haunting

The Galleries of Justice, housed in Nottingham's historic courthouse and jail, has a formidable paranormal reputation rooted in centuries of imprisonment and execution. Visitors have reported numerous apparitions, including a soldier, a mysterious woman, and a Victorian gentleman, along with unexplained voices, footsteps, and physical sensations.

In the Entrance Hall, the spirits of a soldier, a lady, and a Victorian gentleman are seen. In the court, knocking is heard and shadows are seen. In the Cell Corridor, odd noises such as footsteps, keys rattling, and doors slamming are heard. The laundry room is known for random aromas that emerge without reason, as well as a high energy that emulates from here. People have seen figures in the Courtyard (where bodies are buried beneath). The caves are said to be the most haunted; people are touched, objects are thrown, and many unusual noises are heard. Lastly, in the pits, shadows are seen and the overall energy has made people sick.
