Reported Haunting
The Hatchet Inn, dating to the early 17th century, has accumulated numerous ghost stories during its long and colorful history. Staff and patrons have reported apparitions, unexplained footsteps, voices, and other disturbances believed to be connected to former occupants and visitors of the historic pub.
The ghost of a highwayman is said to be here. Most of the phenomena is in the cellar or older portions of the building.
