This home, built around 1900, was a former nudist colony–but don’t worry, we aren’t dealing with a naked ghost here. Rumor has it that original builder, Swedish immigrant Carl Johanson, had a mother who was a healer. The mother used folk remedies and a mystical holy lead. When she passed away, she was buried far away on the mainland, without her holy lead, which was still in the home. Folks say her ghost appears in the home, at the top of the stairs or in a bedroom, perhaps looking for her sacred tool.
