THE STORY
Reported Haunting
Dating to the early 1800s, the Montrose House has earned a reputation as one of northeastern Pennsylvania's most haunted inns. Guests have reported ghostly figures, mysterious footsteps, unexplained voices, and encounters believed to involve former owners and travelers.
Another ghost said to live here is a man who has been seen near the front office. He is said to look extremely real. Also, it is said that during the equinoxes, objects have been thrown across the dining room.
