THE STORY
Reported Haunting
The Old Mortuary Inn has developed a longstanding reputation for paranormal activity tied to its former use as a mortuary. Guests and investigators have reported apparitions, unexplained voices, footsteps, and other disturbances throughout the historic building, inspiring multiple accounts of its alleged hauntings.
A series of books have been written about this location’s reputation. The inn was once a mortuary; the mortician’s wife claimed that the building was haunted and became a recluse until her death. Doors have slammed themselves and local lore still holds true that the ghosts that once terrorized the former mortician’s wife are still here.
