Poet Robinson Jeffers, who built Tor House and Hawk Tower, is said to remain spiritually connected to his former Carmel home. Visitors have reported unexplained sensations and occasional apparitions around the stone buildings, sometimes attributed to Jeffers or members of his family.
Robinson Jeffers, poet and builder of the granite house and tower, is said to linger here. The site was featured on the TV show Ghost Adventures. The Tor House is open for tours by appointment on Fridays and Saturdays, but photos may be taken only once a year, at the annual garden party held there in May.
