The Washington Palace is a historic building believed to be haunted by the apparitions of Queen Liliuokalani and Governor Burns. The queen died in a downstairs bedroom during 1917, and staff have reported seeing her inspecting the property and the building occasionally. The former governor has been known to give tours of the mansion to people who later find out that the former governor was their tour guide, despite the fact he has been dead for over a century.
