Watrous Valley Ranch has earned a reputation among paranormal investigators for unexplained lights, ghostly figures, and strange encounters across the historic property. Witnesses have reported unusual activity both inside the buildings and throughout the surrounding landscape.
The ranch was built for the ‘Pony Express’ in the mid 1800’s. Two of the owners committed suicide, and ever since, there has been a sad presence in the house. Residents alone in the house have awoken to shot gun blasts and other unexplained noises, and an apparition of a man and woman riding a pony cart that vanishes when approached to investigate. There are numerous cold spots in the house, even during warm weather.
