Woodson Lateral Road is famous for mysterious lights that have been reported for decades. Witnesses describe a single bright light resembling a motorcycle headlight appearing in the darkness and rapidly approaching vehicles, sometimes seeming to pass directly over or through them. Afterward, some witnesses report seeing what resembles a red taillight moving away before it suddenly disappears. Other accounts describe floating orbs following vehicles along the road, as well as occasional shadowy figures and strange glowing eyes among the trees. Local legend attributes the light to a motorcyclist supposedly killed on the road, although no historical record confirming that death has been established.
