Reported Haunting
Wymering Manor is considered one of Portsmouth's most famously haunted buildings and is associated with numerous reported spirits. Visitors and investigators have described apparitions, children's voices, unexplained footsteps, sudden temperature changes, and other unusual activity throughout the centuries-old manor.
With the structure dating back many centuries, the building gives off an overall weird feeling. A lady in a violet dreess once appeared to the owner to deliver news of a relative’s death; a choir of nuns can be heard singing throughout the house; the panelled room gives off a feeling of dread and no one wants to be near it.
